#1 SpaceX, NASA team up for Historic Launch

NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are making their 19-hour journey from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station inside SpaceX's Crew Dragon after NASA and SpaceX teamed up for the first launch of a spacecraft carrying humans into space from U.S. soil since 2011.

The launch was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but lightning and rain led to its postponement. Weather threatened to derail Saturday's launch, as well, but the skies cleared in time. The mission is considered the start of a new era in spaceflight. Not only is it the first launch from U.S. soil in nearly a decade, it's the first time a private company orchestrated a crewed mission to space.

#2 Rare white grizzly bear spotted in Canada's Rocky Mountains

According to experts, the coloring is the result of a recessive gene in the cub - not albinism. Local wildlife officials have known about the white grizzly since 2017, but Cara Clarkson’s mobile phone video of the bear, which went viral, marks the first time the public has caught a glimpse of the predator.

British inventor Richard Browning tests his personal flightsuit before a demonstration at the TED conference in Vancouver. The jet-powered suit, named Daedalus, allows Browning to fly for around 10 minutes.

#5 Elon Musk and Grimes change baby's name: "Roman numerals look better"

The tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and the musician Grimes have changed the unusual and largely unpronounceable name of their firstborn child. But anyone hoping that X Æ A-12 might be replaced by something a little more conventional is going to be disappointed.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Grimes confirmed that the baby formerly known as X Æ A-12 would now be known as X Æ A-Xii.
