DORORO!

Happy Friday beautiful people, today I'm going to change things up a bit and instead of telling you about amazing animals, I'm going to take a look at a 2019 anime.

This anime was a revolution last year and gave a lot to talk about, I'm talking about Dororo (ど ろ ろ) an anime series directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, written by Yasuko Kobayashi and produced by MAPPA animation studio. It is based on the homonymous manga by Osamu Tezuka.
The series launch was announced on March 19, 2018, being a co-production between MAPPA and Tezuka Productions. Dororo was released on January 7, 2019 by Tokyo MX and by Amazon Prime Video in the rest of the world.

SYNOPSIS:

Hyakkimaru's father grants 12 demons the body parts of his newborn son in exchange for granting him dominance and prosperity for his territory. Hyakkimaru is abandoned to his fate, after this, he is rescued by a doctor who manages to rebuild him with wooden prosthesis. When he grows older, Hyakkimaru decides to recover the parts of his body, defeating each of the demons with which his father agreed. In his search is joined by Dororo, a small orphan thief.

CHARACTERS:

Hyakkimaru (百 鬼 丸)
Young rōnin who, due to his father's dealings with demons after his birth, ate his skin, internal organs, arms, legs, eyes, nose and ears. Hyakkimaru has supernatural powers that allow him to see people's souls and the essence of demons.

Dororo (ど ろ ろ)
She is an orphan and thief girl who joins Hyakkimaru to travel together in search of demons. Her father, Hibukuro, was a strong bandit who was killed by a samurai. Dororo has the mission to teach Hyakkimaru to be human.

Daigo Kagemitsu (景 光 醍醐)
Hyakkimaru's father, he was a samurai during the Muromachi period and he was the one who sold his firstborn to demons to rule a prosperous land.

Tahōmaru (多 宝 丸)
Hyakkimaru's younger brother and Daigo's second son. He was born a year after Hyakkimaru and is very intrigued by the secret his parents hide about his past, being determined to discover the truth.
Jukai (寿 海)
Doctor and surgeon; He was the one who found Hyakkimaru on a raft after being abandoned in the river and cared for him. He used various wooden prosthetics to give Hyakkimaru mobility, and also taught him how to fight. Hyakkimaru considers him his father.

Biwamaru (琵琶 丸)
A mysterious monk who occasionally meets on the way of Hyakkimaru and Dororo.

Mio (ミ オ)
A girl who cares for a group of children orphaned from wars in a temple. Hyakkimaru and Dororo spend time with them.

Itachi (イ タ チ)
A bandit who betrayed Dororo's father. Kidnap Dororo to get a hidden treasure map.

The case of "Dororo" is particular, since it is found neither in the first nor in the second phase of Tazuka's artistic and thematic evolution. Away from works like "Black Jack" more focused on human perversion, but also on the innocence of "Astroboy", the story of the demon boy stands as a bridge between two styles; an exceptionality that makes it the paradigm of more than 700 mangaka works.
The entire plot flies on the carpet of great stories, woven from threads of pain and familiar knots. All with the color and smell of humanity from the adventures of always.

Although at first the series can give a little bad vibe in different scenes, it does not become a gore series as such, it only has specific moments that make you remember parts of other anime such as "Mirai Nikki" or "Tokyo Ghoul".

Another of the things I like the most about the plot is how well interwoven it is. Well, they have managed to get to the end of the story correctly (with a few changes from the original manga), and they have also given the characters the depth that each one deserved, shaping each of the personalities accordingly.

That is to say, if what you like are the sword fights in ancient Japan, the intrigues between feudal lords and the fantasy stories set in this era, "Dororo" is a series with which to have a really good time.

I will leave the link for those who want to know and enjoy the Anime.

XOXO Li.

TOKYO GHOUL!

Hello beautiful people, how is your Sunday? What new movies or series have you seen? Today I am going to tell you about an anime that I really liked.

Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese animation series based on the self-titled manga created by Sui Ishida serialized in seinen Young Jump magazine, with weekly delivery since September 2011. Compiled in 14 volumes. The series features four seasons, each made up of twelve episodes.

SYNOPSIS:

It is a horror production with explicit violence and a supernatural setting that presents a city in Tokyo in which innocent people die at the hands of "ghouls", mysterious creatures who feed on human flesh. The protagonist is Kaneki Ken, a young current who fortuitously survives the attack of a ghoul, however, to get ahead, the organs of the ghoul of which he was a victim were transplanted. Therefore, his life changes radically as he becomes a hybrid between human and ghoul.

SEASONS:

Tokyo Ghoul: Kaneki becomes a half Ghoul and half Human, from now on he must live hiding from humans with no one to turn to. He meets some Ghouls who work in a cafeteria and finds out that they survive on coffee, since coffee is the only taste that both share. During the course of the story Kaneki will meet new companions and see the dark side of both humanity and the Ghouls.
Tokyo Ghoul √A: This second season would have an alternative story to the manga, and it would not be an adaptation of it. This Kaneki, oddly enough, is much more peaceful and intelligent than his manga counterpart. Although he has the same goal of defending his loved ones, instead of eradicating them, this Kaneki does not want to kill anyone. So we have a clear message on which to build the work: Unification or, to put it another way, we are all the same. Regardless of what we eat, for everything else, we all feel the same.
Tokyo Ghoul: re Is a sequel that started in 2018 and was established two years after the events of the original series. The sequel follows GCC member Haise Sasaki and leader of a special squad of investigators who have implanted the GCC's special weapon, the Quinque, into their bodies and have essentially become half ghoul. However, the problem is that Haise is actually Ken Kaneki from the original series who suffers from amnesia. This was divided into two seasons and is the final arc of the masterful manga.
CHARACTERS:
  • Ken Kaneki: He is the main character in the anime, later known by the nickname of Patch, Gantai and finally as Mukade Centipede. As someone who is now half ghoul and half human, he struggles to keep his ghoul identity secret, being permanently in conflict with it, while at the same time trying to continue living as a normal human.
  • Touka Kirishima: She is a ghoul, student, and waitress at Anteiku. During hunting she wears a rabbit mask. Her violent attitude comes from having to live a double life. As a human being, she is seen as a normal girl, attends school with normal friends and is a waitress in a cafeteria. As a ghoul, she reveals a harsher, more reckless personality filled with hatred by GCC investigators.
  • Kuzen Yoshimura: He is a Ghoul and the manager of the Anteiku Cafeteria. He tries to help every ghoul, especially those who cannot hunt on their own. He takes Ken kaneki and tries to help him survive being a Ghoul.
  • Hinami Fueguchi: She is a ghoul girl whose parents were killed by ghouls investigators. Along with Touka, they defeated Investigator Madou. Hinami later enters Kaneki's group, called Anti-aogiri. After the GCC attack on Anteiku, she joins Aogiri.
  • Ayato Kirishima: He is the younger brother of Tōuka Kirishima. He was raised with his sister in District 20 but, at some point, disappeared. He is currently a member of the Aogiri Tree. It is known as "Black Rabbit".
  • Kotaro Amon: He is a Level 1 Ghouls Investigator. His previous partner was Kureo Mado. Due to a personal experience as an orphan during his childhood, Amon has concluded that this world is wrong, so he has done his duty to change the world. Because he thinks that the Ghouls are the ones ruining the world, he sees the eradication of all the ghouls as a way to repair it.
  • Hideyoshi Nagachika: He is Kaneki's best friend since they were children, he cares about him a lot and is very optimistic, he has observer skills and when he discovers that his friend is a monster instead of walking away he covers it up , although the latter does not find out if not until the end of the story that his best friend knew the truth about him.
OVAS:

Tokyo Ghoul Jack: It is the spin-off Tokyo Ghoul, the story is focused on the past of the character Kishou Arima, who goes to a high school by day and at night is a Ghoul Investigator who solves the problems of District 13.

Tokyo Ghoul Pinto: It is the second OVA of the Tokyo Ghoul anime, based on the third chapter of Tokyo Ghoul: Hibi. As a prequel, it tells the events of when Shuu Tsukiyama and Chie Mori met at the institute. It was adapted by Pierrot Studies
I recommend reading the manga as well as watching the anime.

I leave the link for you to enjoy it.

XOXO Li.

PSYCHO-PASS!

Hello beautiful people, happy sunday! Today I bring you an anime that interested me a lot this year and that has left me super intrigued and wanting more.

Is about Psycho-Pass (サ イ コ パ ス) a police anime series set in a future dystopian Japan produced by Production IG. It began airing on the noitaminA block of the Fuji TV television network from October 11, 2012, ending in March 2013. Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, the president and CEO of Production IG, confirmed on the studio panel at the Anime Expo in 2013 that there was a second season of Psycho-Pass in process, which premiered on October 9, 2014.

Five years later, the official website for the Psycho-Pass franchise revealed that the series would receive a third season titled Psycho-Pass 3 in October 2019 that was broadcast through Fuji TV's noitaminA block.

THE ANIME

In the near future, it is possible to instantly measure a person's mental state, personality, and the likelihood of that person going to commit crimes thanks to a psychosomatic scanner that scans the functions of the brain and other biological and chemical functions of the body, determining the "Psycho-Pass". All controlled by the Sibyl System (シ ビ ュ ラ シ ス テ ム Shibyurashisutemu) a private organization that is in charge of the measurement of the Psycho-Pass, as well as the creation and the handling of the “Dominator” weapons.

When this probability, measured as the "Crime Coefficient Index", is too high, it has a very dark color and a very high number, individuals are hunted down and detained with lethal force, if necessary. This task is carried out by a special team of potential criminals called Executors, who are supervised by police officers known as Inspectors.
Thus, the criminal coefficient will imply a predetermination of people's lives: what work they will or will not do, what sentimental relationships they may or may not have, and so on. In this way, an intelligent system will direct the lives of citizens.

As one of the characters in the series, the psychologist Jouji Saiga suggests, from the idea of bureaucracy related to the conception of the state proposed by Max Weber in which there is a predetermined and “rational” division from the organizational point of view of who should perform each of the tasks for the sake of the power structure. An approach that involves in Psycho-Pass a critical political and sociological reflection regarding not only the incidence of technologies in everyday life but also the enormous competitive-cannibal selection process that occurs in Japanese society.
It has three seasons, the first being published in 2012, with a total of 22 episodes of approximately 20 minutes per episode, a second season launched in 2014, with a total of 11 episodes of approximately 20 minutes and a third season launched in 2019 with 8 episodes of approximately 1 hour.
Although in my personal opinion I must say that the second season disappointed me a lot, not only because Urobuchi did not participate in the development of the characters, that I.G. was no longer the production company and that there were only eleven episodes, but that it was limited, often meaningless and rushed. From a macro perspective, I will tell you that the series can entertain, but it is also true that it has been weak and that, if we compare it with its prequel, it is a fact that several people are left with a bittersweet taste in their mouths. (Including me)
As for the third season I have not yet had the pleasure to see it, so I will give you my opinion about it later, but with a preview I realized that they are completely new characters and maybe I can recover a little

DEVELOPING

When creating the Psycho-Pass anime, the chief director Katsuyuki Motohiro wanted the series to counter current anime trends, as a result, the use of the moé element was banned.

Motohiro had been wanting to do an anime again for some time, but he needed a charismatic screenwriter to do it. He then proposed Gen Urobuchi to work together in early 2011.

In the making of the series, Motohiro allowed highly graphic elements even though it could reduce female audience. He acknowledges that the series may be too violent for younger audiences, and commented that he would not like his son to see it because it is psychologically brutal.
FIRST SEASON CHARACTERS

  • Akane Tsunemori:
Inspector recently assigned to Unit 1. Considered an exemplary citizen, she decided to enter the police despite having high qualifications that allow her to enter other areas of public and private companies, because she was the only person who achieved a good score in that area, what led her to believe perhaps there was something that only she could do if she entered the Office of Public Safety.
  • Shinya Kōgami:
Executor of Unit 1 of the Public Security Crime Section and subordinate of Akane. He was previously an inspector and a partner of Ginoza, however after the cruel murder of Sasayama, an executor assigned to his position during the course of an investigation, ended up obsessing over the resolution of the case, rapidly increasing his crime rate to the point that it was demoted to the position of Executor.
  • Nobuchika Ginoza:
A veteran inspector and former Shinya partner, he is in charge of Unit 1 enforcers. Smart and cold he is a staunch believer in the Sibyl system, continually insisting Akane on drawing a clear line between inspectors and enforcers.
  • Tomomi Masaoka:
He is the oldest among all the executors of Unit 1. He is Akane's guide in his learning about the operation of the Public Security Office System. He has a good relationship with Shinya, since they were both inspectors whose crime rates rose to the point of being demoted to the rank of executors.
  • Yayoi Kunizuka:
The only female executor of Unit 1. She is always calm and collected, even in the face of the most brutal crimes. Before being detected as a latent criminal, she was a musician authorized by the Sibyl System, being the guitarist of a band.
  • Shūsei Kagari:
An executor of Unit 1. Kagari had a normal childhood until, at the age of five, he was detected as a latent criminal during the medical examination of the ministry, being taken to the rehabilitation center and then becoming an executor.
  • Shion Karanomori:
An analyst from the Division of the Public Security Office of General Analysis and latent criminal. She provides support to executors and inspectors in their investigation by analyzing the data and the evidence submitted by them.
  • Shogo Makishima:
An old enemy of Shinya and the target of his revenge. The brains behind the many cases that the Public Security Bureau is investigating, including the one that led to downgrading Shinya from inspector to executor. Despite his murders, his ratio has never reached dangerous levels, making the Dominator immune. Makishima does not consider killing to be a bad thing, but is even natural, having no remorse for such actions.
FILMS

In 2015 a delivery called "Gekijouban Psycho-Pass" occurs two years after the second season and the premise is that The Union of Southeast Asian countries decide to implement the Psycho-pass program to reduce crime. At the same time, Inspector Akane Tsunemori, in charge of the Public Security Crime Section, works in a terrorist operation that takes her to Japan. Upon arrival there, Akane discovers that the government is not using the program properly. It lasts 113 min and returns with the development of Gen Urobuchi and the production house Production I.G.
In 2019 it was announced that a trilogy called "Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System" would be released which would follow part of the original story showing three independent stories at different points in the main Psycho-Pass timeline.
  • Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.1 - Tsumi to Bachi: In the winter of 2117, a runaway vehicle collides with the Office of Public Safety Building. The driver is identified as Izumi Yasaka, a psychological counselor at the Shrine, a latent criminal isolation facility in Aomori Prefecture. But just before their interrogation, Enforcer Mika Shimotsuki and Inspector Nobuchika Ginoza are tasked with quickly escorting Yasaka back to Aomori. What awaits you is a false paradise.
  • Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.2 First Guardian: Okinawa, Summer 2112. Teppei Sugo is a pilot who is taking part in a series of military operations belonging to the 15th National Defense Forces Squadron. Three months later, several drones attack the city of Tokyo, thus mobilizing the forces that the country has assigned for its defense. Tomomi Masaoka is in charge of investigating the case, going to the National Forces military base and descovering a complex plot of conspiracy.
  • Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.3 Onshuu no Kanata ni: Shinya Kogami rescues a refugee bus in a South Asian country when he is about to become the target of an armed guerrilla. Among the refugees is a girl named Tenzing, who after having a conversation with Kogami, begins to beg him to make her his apprentice so that she can take revenge on his oppressors. This circumstance leads Kogami to question the type of world in which they live and the options that their inhabitants are considering to obtain a better life.
This year "Psycho-pass: First Inspector" was released and its also from Production I.G. and acts as a sequel to the 2019 anime Psycho-Pass 3. It takes place in Tokyo, 2120. In a society supervised by the Sibyl System, Inspectors Arata Shindo and Kei Mikhail Ignatov fro Unit 1 face each other for truth and justice. Koichi Azusawa, the mastermind behind a series of crimes, sets his sights on them and launches an assault on the Office of Public Safety Building. Unit 1 is in jeopardy like never before, a case that will test Arata and Kei's loyalties.
Do not miss it, it has a lot of action, philosophy, desire for justice and makes you think what this society would be like if we had a program like that of the Sibyl System. Netflix has seasons 1 and 2. However, I will leave the links in mega so that you can download all the seasons and the movies.

Enjoy!

DEATH NOTE!

Hello beautiful people, Sunday of Anime!! let's start...

I guess everyone has already heard of "Death Note", and if not, I will gladly introduce it. Death note is a manga written by Tsugumi Ōba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, published since December 2003 by the Shūeisha publishing house in the Japanese weekly magazine Shōnen Jump until May 2006, the manga had a total of one hundred and eight chapters collected in twelve volumes.

It also had its adaptation to an Anime series which was directed by Tetsurō Araki, animated by Madhouse and produced by the Japanese companies Nippon Television, Shūeisha, D.N. Dream Partners and VAP, began airing in Japan on October 3rd 2006 until its end on June 26th 2007 with a total of thirty-seven episodes of about twenty-three minutes each. It also has several films in live action and video games.

THE ANIME

Death Note tells the story of Light Yagami, an exceptional high school student who finds a mysterious notebook which belongs to a god of death (Shinigami) who responds to the name of Ryuk.

The power of this supernatural notebook allows you to end people's lives, the way you want, you just have to write it and it will happen. Of course, there are certain rules stipulated for that to happen:
  1. The human whose name is written in this notebook will die.

  2. This notebook will not take effect unless the person writing on it has the person's face in their mind when writing their name. In this way, people who share the same name will not be affected.

  3. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds after typing the person's name, it will happen.

  4. If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack.

  5. After writing the cause of death, the details of death should be written in the next 6 minutes 40 seconds.
Taking all this into account, Yagami Light will feel empowered to make his ideals come true, end crime and have the mastery of justice that neither the police possess, his thought of creating a perfect, pure world, without crimes or threats will be reflected in the moment he is given the opportunity to use the Death Note.

As we delve into the plot, we are introduced to L a very peculiar detective, with an immeasurable taste for sweets and a brilliant mind, who seems to be the only one who can follow Light's lead; We also have Amane Misa, a young actress, who falls madly in love not only with light's physique but with his mind and who, by sharing the same ideals, teams up with him to help him fulfill his wish.

SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES WITH THE MANGA

Although the anime covered the manga in a very good way, I also simplify the complexity of it a bit.

One of the changes is seen after the death of KIRA, the world has become chaotic and disorganized again and the police of the anti-KIRA squad even go so far as to wonder if they did well to eliminate it.

We also have that in the manga there was a "eraser" of a Shinigami that could revive those executed by the Death Note just by deleting their names from the notebook, but this was not carried out in the anime as it would have complicated the plot a bit.

In the anime, when KIRA is going to die, he is terrified because the users of the Death Note cannot go to heaven or hell; However, in the manga, Ryuk reveals to him that neither heaven nor hell really exist, which is a false story that the Shinigami use so that humans fear using them, something that he had already deduced.

For me it is an anime that everyone should see at least once, since despite having fantastic elements, it leaves you thinking about justice systems, the social order and the irrefutable consequences of taking justice into your own hands. It makes you reevaluate your ethics by evaluating the weight of deciding on the lives of other people, not seeing the full picture of imposing an action of justice, which can favor many but not many others. And the big question, if it happened to you? would you do it?

LIVE ACTION MOVIES

The live-action genre welcomed Light and company with open arms. The first two films (Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name) were directed by Shūsuke Kaneko, while the third (L Change the World) was the work of Hideo Nakata. Taking actor Tatsuya Fujiwara in the role of Light Yagami in all three installments.

"Death note: the movie" was released in Japan on June 17th, 2006 and topped the Japanese box office for two weeks, putting The Da Vinci Code in second place. It has the cast of Tatsuya Fujiwara, Kenichi Matsuyama, Erika Toda, Asaka Seto, Shidou Nakamura as the voice of Ryuk and Takeshi Kaga. In this we focus on the first part of the anime, the discovery of the Death Note, the beginning of crimes and the persecution of KIRA, in this film we do not see Misa until the end.

The second, "Death Note: The Last Name", was broadcast in Japan on November 3rd, 2006. We continue with part of the original cast, in this second installment we have Misa who is saved by a shinigami and "blessed" with a Death note, helping Light a lot by taking away the suspicions they had about him, committing crimes in the name of KIRA, the plot unfolds until the imminent death of KIRA and that of Detective L.

The third film, called "L change the world", was released in Japan on February 9th, 2008; This one focuses on L, where important personality traits are shown. In the movie, L also has to solve a new murder case within 23 days, since his name was written on the Death Note and he will die after that deadline.

On October 29th, 2016 "Death Note: A New World" was released and it was directed by Shinsuke Sato, is part of the sequel "Death Note: The Last Name" and has as starting point ten years after Light and L.'s death Six new Death Notes arrive on Earth and police officer Mishima will have to fight everyone to prevent this new battle from destroying the entire world thanks to the arrival of new shinigami.

It is worth watching, all his movies are on Netflix in the original language as well as the anime. And if you want to download the series in Spanish and original language with spanish subtitles, I leave the links here.

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION

         Hello beautiful people!

Today I bring you an anime series for your delight. While it is an anime dating back to 1995, it has come to life again as its first season was released alongside its movies on Netflix.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (新 世紀 エ ヴ ァ ン ゲ リ オ ン) Shin Seiki Evangerion or known simply as Evangelion, is an anime created by Gainax studio and directed by Hideaki Anno. It was released in 1995 in Japan and has a duration of 25 minutes per chapter.

The story takes place in a futuristic world in which a paramilitary organization called NERV protects humanity from attacks by beings of unknown origin and nature, called the "Angels", using for this purpose humanoid robots called "EVAS"

It all goes back to 1999 when a cataclysm called "The Second Impact" occurred in Antarctica, as a result of an incident caused by these "Angels". Much of the Earth was devastated by the phenomenon, and half of the population succumbed to the catastrophe, therefore, the NERV organization and its "EVAS" were created, but they have the peculiarity that they only can be piloted by children and each model has a single pilot designed, thus presenting the main characters of this masterpiece:

  • Shinji Ikari is the son of the head of NERV, he is a young man who was abandoned when he was little by his father, Gendo Ikari, who left him in the custody of a teacher. Therefore he does not have a good relationship with him, he is the pilot of the Eva-01 unit and throughout the series, he is seen questioning his decisions and analyzing his inner self. Anno describes him as "a boy who shrinks from human contact", and that "he is convinced that he is an absolutely unnecessary person, so much so that he cannot even commit suicide"

  • Rei Ayanami is the "First Child" designated to pilot the Eva-00 unit. At the beginning of the story, Rei is an enigmatic figure whose unusual behavior confuses everybody. As the plot of the series progresses, she begins to see herself more related to the people around her, Rei will reveal herself as the key factor in the events that conclude the historical plot.

  • The exalted and combat-loving Asuka Langley is the designated pilot for the Eva-02 unit while being named the second child. She is of Japanese and American descent but spent most of her childhood in Germany, her mother participated in a contact experiment with Eva-02, and although she physically survived the test, she was mentally damaged, bringing with it emotional consequences for Asuka that are reflected in the plot.

ORIGIN AND PRODUCTION

Plans to do the series at the Gainax studio began in July 1993, extending production until 1996. Hideaki Anno worked as a director, co-producer, co-designer, and character co-writer with Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, as well as co-director. artistic with Hiroshi Kato. Deputy director Kazuya Tsurumaki, screenwriter Akio Satsugawa and art designer Ikuto Yamashita, who created the EVA designs together with Anno, also participated, while the producers were Noriko Kobayashi and Yutaka Sugiyama. The animations were part of Production I.G and Studio Ghibli studios, as well as Tokyo TV and Tatsunoko.

Hideaki Anno had suffered a severe depression in the period before the production of the series, which greatly influenced its content. Initially, it was proposed that, with Anno's ideas, the production should be attractive enough to increase the number of "otakus" in society and thus remove them from the prevailing isolation that existed in anime fans. For this reason, the plot was conceived as a battle between humans and gods.

The script for the series was developed during the broadcast of the series because only part of the conceptual plot had been approved. Thus, the evolution of Evangelion was influenced by fan comments and Hideaki Anno's rethinking, as well as the lack of time that occurred towards the end of the series.

AWARDS

The series ended with incredible popularity among its fan base. In 1995, the series won the Anime Grand Prix, an award given by Animage magazine after surveying its readers. The series was again awarded this award in 1996, receiving 2,853 votes. The End of Evangelion would win the award again in 1997, making the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise the first anime to win three consecutive awards.

The song "Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze" (opening of the series) won in 1995 and 1996 the most popular award; Rei Ayanami has proclaimed the most popular female character in 1995 and 1996, just as Shinji Ikari was chosen as the most popular male character.

I can conclude that among the most outstanding we have: The plot, which goes from the simple to the complex, the animation, the mix between the biological and the organic, excellent music, including Beethoven's Hymn to Joy and the sequences of action (vertigo). For me, one of the most complete and highly developed anime that was very close to becoming the greatest milestone of the time, however, in my opinion, Evangelion is one of those series that mark you, that make you think and think, and it appears every so often.

TOP 10 ANIMES TO GET STARTED

If you have already been bitten by the curiosity animal and you want to start this roller coaster that is Anime but there are so many that you do not know where to start, I am going to leave you what for me is the perfect top ten for beginners.

#10 SAMURAI X

If you are one of those who like history, swordsmen, and action, you have this excellent story set in the Meiji era in Japan, it is based on the manga of the creator Nobuhiro Watsuki, has 95 chapters, two films, and seven OVAS. Personally, I love this story, having a look at ancient Japan, you can see how the main character tries to redeem himself for the actions committed in his past.

#9 NEON GENESIS EVANGELION

Are you a fan of the futuristic cyberpunk? or the constant fight for life? If so you can not stop seeing this masterpiece from the Gainax studio, although at first, it seems just a simple robot fight with monsters in Tokyo, I can assure you that it is a work full of symbolism and characters full of nuances and layers that hide their true motivations. #3 ANOTHER

Terror, blood, and suspense, all wrapped up in this little anime based on Yukito Ayatsuji's light novel, it all starts when young Sakakibara is transferred to the North Yomiyama school, ending up in a class that is far from normal. Horrible deaths and Constant fear lurk the students, who believe they are caught in a curse that started 23 years ago when one of the students died. Or at least that was what was thought ... It is a short anime with only twelve episodes but with very strong images so if you have a weak stomach I recommend you skip this step.

#2 PSYCHO-PASS

Psycho-Pass is ideal for those who enjoy science fiction stories, with a dense, complex plot and quite stylish characters, it addresses very interesting questions about the human psyche and reflections on the meaning of good and evil. If you enjoyed Minority Report, you are going to love this anime in which you cannot have any criminal thought crossing your head without being punished even without committing it, it has twenty-two episodes.

#1 WOLF’S RAIN

Finally but not least this is an anime that combines science fiction, Indian traditions, adventure, action, fighting, wolves, humans, mysticism, and drama. This story focuses on the strong instinct and the proclaimed faith that a being can have to achieve what they want in a world where decadence reigns. It has twenty-six episodes and was aired by the Bones studio.
