DEFENDING JACOB!

Hello beautiful people, how was your weekend? did you see something new? something interesting? if not, I bring you a show that you will not want to miss.

Defending Jacob is an Apple TV + show. It all begins when the body of a teenager appears in a park and automatically there is a main suspect, Jacob Barber (Jaeden Martell), who happens to be the son of the prosecutor who was going to take the case, Andie Barber (Chris Evans), and from a much-loved teacher in town, Laurie Barber (Michelle Dockery).

The interesting thing is that Mark Bomback's (War for the Planet of the Apes) work, which is based on William Landay's novel, does not focus so much on research as on the idea of living in the shadow of suspicion. The Barbers find themselves in an uncomfortable situation: their son claims he is innocent but there is evidence against him, and suddenly the community rejects them.

There are eight episodes that deconstruct the idea of the perfect family, fatherhood and motherhood with a well-treated mystery. Jacob's demeanor, who doesn't have a lot of social skills, fits wherever he wants: adolescent stupidity and psychopathy, so the game works wonders with a trio of always-effective actors.
Defending Jacob ends up with a much more ambiguous cut than William Landay's novel, and if you haven't read the novel and haven't seen the show I'm sorry to give you a SPOILER but I thought it was a good way to have an ending in which the viewer can create their own opinions.

SPOILER BELOW
After learning of a substantial cover-up to the case, and increasingly doubting her son's innocence, Laurie crashes her car into a wall. In the book, Jacob is killed instantly on impact, but in the series the young man ends up in a coma, leaving us wondering if the boy is guilty or not.

Mark Bomback spoke on this point and said the following:
“I think if the show had given a definitive answer on guilt, it would have been a bit frustrating. I was very interested in making the viewer feel the experience that parents have. In the end, what matters is what Andy and Laurie think their son may or may not have done".

Chris Evans, who had previously spoken about Defending Jacob, arguing that only by immersing ourselves in particular extreme situations could we understand the series, said this:
“I think in our version, everyone deals with shame and guilt differently. Laurie didn't know how to overcome such trauma, by now, it had become part of a complex lying mechanism.
She even preferred to die rather than continue to deal with it. I think this ending is much more interesting. You don't know if it is better to accept the truth or find a difficult balance in a world of lies”.
END OF SPOILER
Defending Jacob was a surprise to me within the huge panorama of current series, especially police series. In a genre that is increasingly characterized by trying to catch the viewer from shock, strange narrative turns and the most horrifying secrets imaginable (sects, conspiracies, secret fortunes, etc.), a series whose axis passes through the consequences of a possible crime between two boys who got on badly in a high school ends up becoming something realistic and even credible.

If you dont have access to Apple TV, or dont want to pay for streaming, you can see it through the Cuevana page at the following link https://cuevana3.io/serie/defending-jacob

Hope you like it, let me know on the comments.

BEST INTERNATIONAL KPOP COLLABORATIONS!

The K-pop that emerged in the 90's and gained popularity in 2000, is not the same as we live today, this genre is one of the most changing, always innovating, a sample of this is the growing interest in international collaborations.

The numbers are not deceiving. According to the data collected by Statista, 38.9% of those surveyed think that K-Pop is a "very popular" phenomenon, with 27% corresponding to "popular", 23.4% to "popular only for some people", and 10.7% to "not popular".

A style that has penetrated the music markets of previously unreachable territories. This is the case in the United States, whose charts are awash with their voices.

In recent years this has become a constant, and great songs have been created, with artists that you did not imagine would be perfect with a Korean singer, they have gone viral, they have gotten into your mind and I assure you, you have not been able to get the rhythm out of your head.

Be sure to check out some of these must-see and eye-catching collaborations!

THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE!

Hello beautiful people, how have you been? how is your week going so far? Let's talk about horror series, more specifically about a show that I came across a little bit ago.

"The Haunting of Hill House" is a new adaptation of the novel by Shirley Jackson, perhaps the most iconic reference in the haunted house genre. I have not seen the films that have been based on this work, and I have not read the original source either, so my references are the summary of its plot and my own opinion.

This Netflix series tells us the life of the Crain family at the time when they entered to live in a mysterious house in which a traumatic event occurred for everyone. In the first five episodes we witness various events told from the points of view of the five brothers, culminating in a magnificent bottled chapter in which all the characters come together under one roof. An episode that has an impeccable staging and that can easily enter the lists of BEST episodes.
The direction is in charge of Mike Flannagan (Oculus, Absentia, Hush) who, with a slow pace, open shots, camera movements that follow the characters, subverts what we expect from the clichés of the genre, because he respects the viewer and knows that we know the conventions of this type of story.

There are series, which are installed in your brain, in your heart, in your gut or everywhere, that are capable of evoking sensations beyond your viewing and I can say that this is the case of Hill House.

It has remained in my head, the story is not superficial, it's not an excuse to place scares in each episode and create a sick atmosphere. One could say, in fact, that it's the other way around: these key tools of the genre serve exclusively to tell us the story of a family.

The presents of Steven, Shirley, Theodora, Luke and Eleanor demonstrate to what extent our processing of memories has a direct consequence on our personality, at the same time our ability to empathize with our environment, to become emotionally uninhibited.
The ten episodes of "The Haunting of Hill House" are a deconstruction of the ways to overcome a trauma, of the mechanisms that we develop to face it (or not have to), of living marked by the shadow of a family member and the difficulties of keeping fraternal ties alive during adult life, especially when each one has developed their character and priorities.

The horror scenes are perfect and let me tell you, there are several that have been etched into my brain to threaten to appear in my nightmares, but we could easily eliminate all the supernatural parts and we would still have the interesting story of a family dealing with pain, loss, drug addiction, anger, guilt, trauma and mental illness. More than a story about a haunted house, it's a story about characters haunted by very REAL ghosts.
If you are a fan of the series, of psychological terror, if you like a good ghostly presentation this show is made for you, I found it recently, and I decided to do a marathon with my girlfriend, we could not detach ourselves from the screen with each chapter that passed.

Now Netflix has given us the teaser for the new show from the creators of this majesty and will come out this October honoring Halloween again "The curse of Bly Manor" so it brings the same strength, super intriguing and it will be great to see it .
If you have not caught this show yet, you are wasting your time, I will leave you the trailer so you know what you have missed and encourage yourself to marathon it
as I did.

PSYCHO BUT IT'S OK!

Hello beautiful people, today I come to tell you about a Korean drama that revolutionized the Netflix platform, had a worldwide reach and is worth watching.

This drama is known in Korea as "Psycho But It's Okay", and in Latin America "It's Ok to Not Be Ok" is a story that revolves around a woman named Ko Moon-Young, who has a clear antisocial personality disorder, but surprisingly she is a children's book writer.
Throughout her life she meets Moon Gang-Tae who has unknowingly always been there for her. This young, kind, charming and gentleman person has a sad past, he is the support for his brother Moon Sang-Tae, who suffers from autism which forces Gang-Tae to mature very quickly and get ahead in life.

The plot of "Psycho But It's Ok" is simply exquisite, during the beginning of this K-drama, they transport you to a fantasy world, because the protagonist Ko Moon-Young, tells how during her childhood nobody spoke with her, because she felt as if death was always with her, and that is why everyone feared her.
The interpretation of Seo Ye-Ji is majestic, as a woman full of qualities that we usually see very often in the male role of the drama, of course her past marked her and made her someone excessively sincere. The plot little by little captivates you, with a black humor that does not bother but helps to clearly deal with problems or situations that are not easy to express.

It is wonderful to see how Sang-Tae develops in society with his autism, because it allows you to see the difficulties that people who suffer from this face every day. Talking about aspects such as personality disorder problems, autism symptoms and patients with varied conditions thanks to the work in a Psychiatric ward, make this drama something unique.

For me it is a deep drama that dares to speak and break imposed paradigms, not only that, the characters presented here are atypical to the schemes that have been used for years; It challenges the classic love story, as it shows how a heart can mend the scars of the past and emotionally heal people.
Few know that behind this plot there was a mastermind, the screenwriter Jo Yong. The writer of the drama surprised many by this interesting story and revealed what inspired her to develop it.

Jo Yong offered an interview for Star News and indicated that the plot of “Psycho But It's Ok” is based on a true story, one that marked her personally: “This drama began with my love story with a man who had a personality disorder and it's the background to Psycho But It's Okay”, “It's a drama that reflected my mind. Through the character of Gang-Tae, I wanted to apologize for not having acted properly back then” she added.

The writer continued with her reflection and said: "I wanted to apologize in some way and let him know that he did not do anything wrong. And I hope he is happy wherever he is. While writing the drama I was able to heal those feelings".
The truth is that beyond being a fan of oriental culture, loving K-pop music and watching these dramas this show is worth it and everyone should watch it, you don't need to be a fan, "Psycho But It's Ok" does not disappoint, has humor, sentimentality and above all it gives you a new perspective on topics that are not touched very often such as mental problems, depression, abuse or detachment.
Take advantage of the fact that it's still on Netflix, take a marathon either alone or with someone and enjoy this wonderful drama and its great soundtrack.

XOXO Li.

MY PERSONAL STORY!

Hello beautiful people, how have you been? what has become of your lives?

I know you haven't heard from me in a while, maybe some have wondered what happened and others just put this blog aside.

The truth is that I have been struggling with depression for years and certain events that occurred in my life caused me to sink further into that black hole. Has it happened to you that when something bad occurs you don't give yourself the opportunity to feel it, because there are more important things to solve than what happened, but then at some point all that feeling arises and explodes a thousand times more intense and painful?.

Well, that's how it happened to me, I've always dealt with not feeling good about myself, insecurity because I didn't think I was smart enough, but they were manageable, I always got something or someone to help me stay afloat and fighting.

Three years ago I moved from my country (Venezuela), due to all the economic and social problems that were happening, my girlfriend and I decided that it was time to go and find a better life for ourselves and after so much thinking we move to Colombia.

At a certain point we knew that it wouldn't be easy, that we would have to work hard to achieve stability and the truth was that I was fine with that, it is normal to have to emerge in a country that is not yours and you must always be patient.

What I did not expect was to meet such abominable and unpleasant beings (because in reality there are no better words), I always thought that the stories I heard in the news or in the movies happened to other people, but not to me, never to me. (I know, it's a very wrong thought)

We didn't have much time in the country and we arrived at a house with a seemingly normal family, nothing out of the ordinary, my girlfriend and I had our own room but everything else was shared with them.

We believed that since the rent was cheap, it would be good for us since that way we could start saving from our work and send money to our family in Venezuela.

If I could turn back time, I would never choose that house again; at first everything was normal but then the owner began to behave horrible, he started harassing me, he tried to invade our privacy, he went to the bathroom when one of us was taking a shower, and we tried to leave but we had no money at the time, what we earned was not much and we were afraid, afraid of not knowing anything or anyone here.

We devised a way to never be alone, we always stayed with one of his young children and tried to have as little contact as possible with him.

But then my girlfriend got a job in a bar and worked until dawn and they didn't allow me to be there and it was logical, if I was not an employee or a client I had nothing to do there, so I suppose he saw that moment as his opportunity because he started harassing me even more, and it got worse, I was so scared that I started sleeping in his children's room so that I wouldn't be alone until my girlfriend came home from work, and if there was no one else at home, I would stayed on the street or in a park.

We already had enough money saved and we had decided to leave, we no longer cared and we could not continue in that house, but like all stories there must be a terrible moment, only a moment was enough to have me as he wanted, alone and defenseless, it was the worst moment of my whole life, the impotence of not being able to defend myself, how dirty I felt, and how surprised I was to see how easy it can be for a woman to suffer at the hands of a man.

But at that moment I couldn't allow myself to feel anything else, I didn't allow myself to cry, or tell anyone, not even my girlfriend, she knew there was something wrong with me but she didn't know what it was.

We were able to leave there, escape from that hell, I had to get ahead, get myself a job, survive in this new country and for a long time I did not allow myself to feel anything, I had occasional nightmares and days when I did not want to get out of bed but I always said to myself: "You cannot allow yourself to collapse, you have a job to do and stability to gain."

And that worked for me for a while, yes, we had a hard time, it was not easy, but we managed to be stable, get an apartment to live in, buy our things, have money saved, and live...

All until this virus came and we had to stay in our houses, unfortunately I lost my job and I started having A LOT of free time. I began to have problems sleeping, I did not eat, and I started to withdraw, the nightmares became more real and I relived that moment over and over again, I thought about what I could have done differently, if it was my fault.

I had three months like this until one night I couldn't take it anymore and I told my girlfriend everything, I talked about all that happened, I cried, I unloaded and took out every last ounce of pain in my chest, and it was the first night I slept without a single dream, all night, calm, relaxed.

The next day I felt better, so I decided to write it all and send it to the other person I have loved with all my heart, my ex-boyfriend, my best friend, and I felt even better, it was as if the weight of all that secret was lifted, it was no longer just mine.

After a few weeks I decided to talk to my cousin, someone who supported me a lot when I said that I liked women, who gave me the best advice when I told him I was going to another country and listen to me at any time without problems, and I realized that the best thing we can do is TALK, say everything, get it out, and share every detail, it is difficult, yes, but it's so liberating when you finally tell it all, it's like it's lost his power over you and little by little you live again.
I understood that you also need a support group, a therapist, someone who has tools to help you take one day at a time, to try to forget, to be yourself again and stop being afraid.

I stopped writing this blog because I did not feel good, I didn't feel like myself, I could not think of anything else, and the idea of creating all this was to be able to give you a piece of me, my tastes, my opinions, and also that you could had a moment of distraction, of not thinking about what happens in the world, and during that time I didn't have the thrill of doing it.

Today I am much better, today I'm me again, I have a new pet, I'm in a new apartment and life looks a little more colorful, but I think I had to write this before returning with the posts because the world deserves to know that yes, there are horrible things that happen to great people, it is hard to love yourself without details, but also that it's never too late to ask for help, that we should ask for help because sometimes we cannot do it alone and that everything always gets better.

A BIG THANK YOU to you guys! (and without a doubt you know who you are) I think my life wouldn't be the same without you, I love you very much, you are my everything and my best support. Thank you, I'm really grateful for having you guys!!

P.D: If you are reading this, and you went through a similar situation, an unpleasant moment with someone, no matter what, talk about it, ask for help, tell someone about it. Don't suffer in silence.

XOXO Li.

MOST FAMOUS DANCE VIDEOS!

Hello beautiful people, let's talk about music, today I bring you the top 10 songs that were not only important for the lyrics but even more important for their choreography.

Although they do not usually occur on many occasions, a well-worked choreography can become the perfect ally to push a song to the top of the lists and revolutionize the clubs. There are them of all times, styles and nationalities but what they do have in common is their impact on popular culture in recent decades.

1. Village People - YMCA

When this group released a song that alluded directly to the Young Christians Association, the controversy became a perfect hook for the masses. To this we add one of the most famous choreographies in history, which emulated the movements of cheerleaders, which has not gone out of style.

2. Las Ketchup - Aserejé

Its freshness at that time, its hook to dance in beach bars throughout Spain and the indecipherable lyrics that some religious sectors came to describe as satanic message make the only success of these three Cordoba sisters in another clear example of contagious choreography.
5. PSY - Gangnam Style

The South Korean song from PSY, Gangnam Style revolutionized all discos, all artists worldwide wanted to dance it and YouTube named it as the most viewed video in history. Memorable.
6. OK Go - Here It Goes Again

OK Go knows that one of the keys to getting more followers and views, is in not being ashamed to create a different choreography, although their genre does not go hand in hand with dancing together, The are not forgetting resources like using impossible machines, subjective shots, home experiments and a lot of fun things.
7. LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It

As fast as they managed to reach the tops of popularity, it is now a fixed track in graduations and even in soccer stadiums. The LMFAO duo made up of Redfoo and Skyblu, surprised the market with Sexy And I Know It, a quite provocative choreography.
8. Los Del Rio - La Macarena

They were inspired by a trip they made to Venezuela in which they met a beautiful flamenco dancer named Diana Patricia. When the song became a hit, it became known as "Macarena". This was their first and only success.
9. BTS - ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima

ON is a mix of hip-hop and electronic pop that in terms of energy level is typical of the band. In the chorus, catchy and frantic, BTS constantly repeats to us "bring the pain" or "let the pain come." It is a way of stating that BTS faces whatever it takes, because only with adversity are they able to fly off.
10. Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal

Smooth Criminal is part of the Bad album that was released in 1987 written by Michael Jackson and John Barnes, the song is a piece from the Jackson movie Moonwalker. The lyrics of this song is about a woman named Annie who has been attacked in her apartment by an assailant, but who is she?

Which one did you like the most?

GATHERING BLUE!

Hello beautiful people, how are you today? around here it's raining a lot, and the days are cloudy again and awfully cold. Today I bring you the second book of the beloved Lois Lowry's “The Giver” quartet, it is “Gathering Blue”.

SYNOPSIS:

Kira, an orphan with a twisted leg, lives in a world where the "weak" are left out. From the moment her mother dies, she fears for her future until she is forgiven by the powerful Council of Guardians. The reason is that Kira has a gift: her fingers possess the ability to embroider in an extraordinary way. It far exceeds the skill that her mother displayed, so she is entrusted with a task that no other member of the community can develop.

She calls this gift the knowledge, she begins here by describing a memory:

~With her thumb, Kira felt a small square of decorated woven cloth. She had forgotten the strip of cloth in the recent, confusing days… When she was much younger, the knowledge had come quite unexpectedly to her, and she recalled the look of amazement on her mother's face as she watched Kira choose and pattern the threads one afternoon with sudden sureness.

"I didn't teach you that!" her mother said laughing with delight and astonishment. "I wouldn't know how!" Kira hadn’t known how either, not really. It had come about almost magically, as if the threads had spoken to her, or sung. After that first time, the knowledge had grown… .the threads began to sing to her.~
It is this gift that saves her from exile or death as a cripple, and the village elders now provide her food and her own dwelling so that she can sew and embroider for them. Somehow in her deformed state, a few of the leaders see past her condition, and instead see the covenant gift within her young life. They spoke to her differently and gave her value among their people.

The reader will believe that she is fortunate to have been chosen for the noble mission of weaving a cloak, but she does not consider it so. She can only accept that society and her people because she knows no other life, but just like with Jonas, everything changes when she is moved to a better place, a place where she feels uncomfortable but that reveals the terrible reality.

The message of this book is the same as in "The Giver" shows how humanity has lost values, although here we can see more feelings unlike the first but we also feel hostility and selfishness. It is another community with a different point of view, less civilized, crueller and wilder.
Gathering Blue has a good amount of conflict that Kira fights with hope of being useful for something. This book to me resembles to "The Maze Runner" because the main character there has a lot of conflict by trying to escape these tests he's going through, to be free and live his life. So i can say that both of these characters fight to meet their goal by having hope.

I loved it, just as with the other book I was very intrigued, it was easy to read, it leaves you the messages and the compression as you go through the pages. I recommend 100% to all those who are interested in dystopian stories that make you question everything.
I leave you the link for the book here: GATHERING BLUE

XOXO Li.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER!

How To Get Away With Murder is an American legal drama series created by Peter Nowalk and produced by Shonda Rhimes for ABC on September 25th, 2014

IGN's Amber Dowling called the pilot episode great by giving it a score of 8.0, commenting, "If you like series with a dark tone and intense beat, then this will do. As with most legal dramas, you have to suspend reality in order to accept the way in which some of the coincidences unfold".

"Viola Davis is the number 1 reason to see, but this is also the role that could put Alfred Enoch on the Hollywood map. Most of the characters are morally ambiguous, hungry and selfish, but they don't apologize for being that way, which makes them much more interesting and fun to watch".
It is not just any “series of lawyers”. The series focuses on the prestigious defense attorney and professor of law at the University of Philadelphia, Annalize Keating, and on the team made up of her best students who will apply her teachings in the various cases they will have to deal with.

CHARACTERS:

~Wes Gibbins-Alfred Enoch: He has a great sense of justice and is the outstanding student of Annalize.

~Michaela Pratt-Aja Naomi King: Brilliant and perfectionist although somewhat repellent, with some codependency, and an arrogant tone.

~Frank Delfino-Charlie Webb: He is Annalize's right hand man with very unorthodox methods and a big secret.

~Connor Walsh-Jack Falahee: He is cunning and stubborn with serious empathy problems, arrogant, wants everyone's attention regardless of the outcome.

~Asher Millstone-Matt McGorry: He is the prototypical alpha-male a bit loaded but with a heart and comic relief from the series.

~Laurel Castillo-Karla Souza: Idealistic and observant with a great sense of responsibility, at first she appears as a very simple, quiet character.

~Bonnie Winterbottom-Liza Weil: Faithful assistant to Annalize with a big problem of self-esteem.
HTGAWM follows a narrative structure in which three lines of action will alternate: The investigation of the murder of Lila Stangard, and the defense of one of the main suspects who will be the backbone of the series, will be joined with a narrated in flashforward mode the murder committed by four of the students and, consequently, the cover-up of the same; as well as episodic cases that will be indirectly related to the evolution of some of the characters.

This series really hooks you! it acts as a kind of clue for the viewer who will have to reconstruct the events so that the plot makes sense episode after episode. Is a great thriller with palpable tension and a mind-game plot full of surprising twists and cliffhangers that will make you look forward to the next chapter, a series that will leave you wanting to know more and more, and where all the elements are connected to perfection.

The duality of its protagonist: Annalize Keating will be configured as a ruthless, cold and calculating woman without any kind of remorse that instills fear and admiration among her students and who is respected, outside and inside the court.
However, beyond that facet, she will show herself as a woman full of insecurities and vulnerable; at the same time that she presents herself as a toxic character that will drag everyone around her to the most imminent destruction.

It is one of those shows that if you lose a chapter, the whole plot is complicated and you are lost, in one moment many things can happen and unravel your theories, or change all the rules of the game and leave you completely confused about what is happening.

It deserves all the respect for how well it is structured, for the diversity of the characters, for the great performance of Viola Davis, for the concept of the series, if you have not seen it yet, believe me you should, you will want to watch all the episodes in a day. At the moment Netflix only has until the fifth season, but you will be able to watch the sixth and last season on other online platforms.

XOXO Li.

DORORO!

Happy Friday beautiful people, today I'm going to change things up a bit and instead of telling you about amazing animals, I'm going to take a look at a 2019 anime.

This anime was a revolution last year and gave a lot to talk about, I'm talking about Dororo (ど ろ ろ) an anime series directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, written by Yasuko Kobayashi and produced by MAPPA animation studio. It is based on the homonymous manga by Osamu Tezuka.
The series launch was announced on March 19, 2018, being a co-production between MAPPA and Tezuka Productions. Dororo was released on January 7, 2019 by Tokyo MX and by Amazon Prime Video in the rest of the world.

SYNOPSIS:

Hyakkimaru's father grants 12 demons the body parts of his newborn son in exchange for granting him dominance and prosperity for his territory. Hyakkimaru is abandoned to his fate, after this, he is rescued by a doctor who manages to rebuild him with wooden prosthesis. When he grows older, Hyakkimaru decides to recover the parts of his body, defeating each of the demons with which his father agreed. In his search is joined by Dororo, a small orphan thief.

CHARACTERS:

Hyakkimaru (百 鬼 丸)
Young rōnin who, due to his father's dealings with demons after his birth, ate his skin, internal organs, arms, legs, eyes, nose and ears. Hyakkimaru has supernatural powers that allow him to see people's souls and the essence of demons.

Dororo (ど ろ ろ)
She is an orphan and thief girl who joins Hyakkimaru to travel together in search of demons. Her father, Hibukuro, was a strong bandit who was killed by a samurai. Dororo has the mission to teach Hyakkimaru to be human.

Daigo Kagemitsu (景 光 醍醐)
Hyakkimaru's father, he was a samurai during the Muromachi period and he was the one who sold his firstborn to demons to rule a prosperous land.

Tahōmaru (多 宝 丸)
Hyakkimaru's younger brother and Daigo's second son. He was born a year after Hyakkimaru and is very intrigued by the secret his parents hide about his past, being determined to discover the truth.
Jukai (寿 海)
Doctor and surgeon; He was the one who found Hyakkimaru on a raft after being abandoned in the river and cared for him. He used various wooden prosthetics to give Hyakkimaru mobility, and also taught him how to fight. Hyakkimaru considers him his father.

Biwamaru (琵琶 丸)
A mysterious monk who occasionally meets on the way of Hyakkimaru and Dororo.

Mio (ミ オ)
A girl who cares for a group of children orphaned from wars in a temple. Hyakkimaru and Dororo spend time with them.

Itachi (イ タ チ)
A bandit who betrayed Dororo's father. Kidnap Dororo to get a hidden treasure map.

The case of "Dororo" is particular, since it is found neither in the first nor in the second phase of Tazuka's artistic and thematic evolution. Away from works like "Black Jack" more focused on human perversion, but also on the innocence of "Astroboy", the story of the demon boy stands as a bridge between two styles; an exceptionality that makes it the paradigm of more than 700 mangaka works.
The entire plot flies on the carpet of great stories, woven from threads of pain and familiar knots. All with the color and smell of humanity from the adventures of always.

Although at first the series can give a little bad vibe in different scenes, it does not become a gore series as such, it only has specific moments that make you remember parts of other anime such as "Mirai Nikki" or "Tokyo Ghoul".

Another of the things I like the most about the plot is how well interwoven it is. Well, they have managed to get to the end of the story correctly (with a few changes from the original manga), and they have also given the characters the depth that each one deserved, shaping each of the personalities accordingly.

That is to say, if what you like are the sword fights in ancient Japan, the intrigues between feudal lords and the fantasy stories set in this era, "Dororo" is a series with which to have a really good time.

I will leave the link for those who want to know and enjoy the Anime.

XOXO Li.

FRACTURED!

Hello beautiful people, how are you feeling today? are you ready for today's post?

Today I come to tell you about a suspense movie directed by Brad Anderson, based on the script by Alan B. McElroy, which is on the Netflix platform. With Sam Worthington, Lily Rabe, Stephen Tobolowsky, Adjoa Andoh, Lucy Capri, among others.
It's called Fractured and it's a family drama that goes through the trauma filter of an accident that, as we will see, determines everything. A psychological thriller that flirts with the idea of criminal conspiracies to construct a story about guilt, and especially about the inability of its protagonist Sam Worthington.

SYNOPSIS:

Ray Monroe is an alcoholic in the midst of rehabilitation, who drives behind the wheel of his car along with his wife Joanne and daughter Peri. They return from a disastrous Thanksgiving meal with her parents, and at a certain point on the way, the little girl needs to go to the bathroom and they park the car at a gas station, where a few minutes later the tragedy will occur, in a mistake of her parents, Peri is cornered by a menacing-looking dog and falls on her back in a space under construction. Ray tries to help Peri by throwing a stone at the dog but it scares her, he tries to grab her but it's too late and he falls into the construction too.

"Fractured" It's a haunting and captivating story that shows how untreated trauma can cause us to part with reality.
Director Brad Anderson spoke about what the final scene of the film means to him, and how it might apply to how many people live today:

"I wonder if he will wake up to the truth or not. That is the question at the end of the movie. Depending on how gloomy the point of view is about things, it can be said that he lives in self-deception, that for him it is better than living in reality”.

“We all do that up to a point in our lives, we do not want to face harsh realities we just want to ignore them and set them aside. Maybe there's a little bit of that going on here. It seems to me that the end is sad and tragic, but it is also moving”.

“He is just a boy who wants to be a good father. He wants to be a father and a husband who does the right thing. At the beginning of the movie, he is blinded and depressed. I don't think he understood. It is not a direct horror. It is a tragedy with connotations of horror”

Like so many others in its genre, this film invites us to be the smart ones, to anticipate the resolution. That is, in fact, one of the most interesting games in this genre for the viewers, but I think the possibilities on this film are a bit slim. Sam Worthington's portrayal, which does a good job on its part, helps bring the suspense, and clues to uncover the true meaning of the plot.

I liked it, i's not a boring movie, but it wasn't excellent either, I think it had everything to be much better but it fell short.

I leave the trailer:

BEST MUSIC VIDEOS OF ALL TIME!

Hello beautiful people, who likes good music?, and who love that their favorite song has a music video? or to see your favorite artist performing live?.

Over the years we have had a large number of music videos with countless artists, some have been magnificent and others have fallen a little short. The truth is, that it has been 60 years since the artists began to have videos of their songs, one of the pioneers was the band The Beatles, since they wanted a new way of reaching their audience when they were no longer on tour.

Today I am going to leave you the 21 best music videos in history, so you can judge for yourself and tell me which one deserves the position and which video should enter the list.

Beyonce-Single Ladies
~ It is shot in black and white, Knowles denotes a characteristic alter ego.

The Beatles-Penny Lane
~ They are still seen for what they were: the most famous and relevant band of all time The Beatles on the street, in the East End or Chelsea. Nothing else, Nothing less.

Michael Jackson-They Don’t Care About Us
~ A video with a social theme, talk about racism and the video was shot in one of the favelas in Brazil.

Madonna-Justify My Love
~ A video full of black and white sexual paraphilias, worthy of the queen of pop.

Daft Punk-Da Funk
~ As Thomas Bangalter said: the video has no message, it's just a man-dog with his boombox in New York.

David Bowie-The Stars (Are Out Tonight)
~ David Bowie, Tilda Swinton, Saskia de Bauwn and Andreja Pejic together and scrambled in a video clip inspired by the American middle class.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers-Dani California
~ They tell their own rock and roll version of the story in the video.

The Chemical Brothers-Let Forever Be
~ It is one of the most celebrated (if not the most) videos of the Manchester electronic band.

Jamiroquai-Virtual Insanity
~ You can see a lot of ambiance of what you imagined the future would be like, with changing rooms of zero gravitation.

Coldplay-A Sky Full Of Stars
~ With so little on the screen a huge good wave is generated, the band disguised as "man orchestra" playing the song in front of their fans.

Nirvana-Smell Like Teen Spirit
~ It is considered as one of the music hymns of the 1990s, especially for the Generation X.

Britney Spears-Baby One More Time
~ Daydreaming, having a crush and being the fantasy of "Lolita" all that in one video.

Metallica-Turn The Page
~ It's more of a short film, the video told a heartbreaking story with all the flavor of the '80s in Los Angeles.

Janet and Michael Jackson-Scream
~ An absolute pleasure for the eyes in the 5 minutes that the video lasts. Unrepeatable. Unique Masterpiece.

Eminem-My Name Is
~ A video clip that is still fun today, Eminem in the shoes of a thousand and one television characters.

Lady Gaga-Bad Romance
~ A somewhat twisted and not so well reciprocated love, a harmful feeling with an impressive visual.

Rihanna-Bitch Better Have My Money
~ This is the sign of the times: violence, bad language and a lot of money to spend.

Aerosmith-Janie’s Got A Gun
~ David Fincher invented for Aerosmith a short film with abuse and revenge as the main theme.

Cyndi Lauper-Girls Just Want To Have Fun
~ We have very modest productions that have achieved a lot with very little, and the video by Cyndi Lauper is an example of this.

Spice Girls-Wannabe
~ It marked a before and after period, and specifically this video was the start shot to the career of the most famous girl band of all time.

Michael Jackson-Thriller
~ With a duration of 14 minutes, it was the longest music video so far, it has a structure closer to the short film and it pays homage to the zombie genre and horror movies in general.

Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody
~ The entire video clip is summarized in: basic lens effects (like those that could be done by any manual and home camera) and, medium shots of the band's members at a concert.
